How Many Nibbles Books Are There?
Nibbles is a beloved silly little yellow monster known for munching through classic fairy tales in the original Nibbles: The Book Monster book. Children love following his adventures through stories, such as Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack and the Beanstalk, and discovering what he’ll chomp through and where he’ll end up next. But, what other Nibbles books are there?
The original Nibbles now has three titles in the same style: Nibbles: The Monster Hunt, Nibbles: The Dinosaur Guide, and Nibbles: The Bedtime Book. Nibbles: The Book Monster is also available in Spanish, called Bocaditos! These are all great for ages 6 and up, but even younger readers enjoy the silly stories and have fun peeking through cut-outs and lifting flaps on the pages.
For those younger readers, Nibbles Colors, Nibbles Numbers, Nibbles Shapes, and Nibbles Christmas are smaller and shorter than the original Nibbles, and the pages are thicker cardstock. These focus on skills preschoolers and kindergarteners might be learning, like counting and colors.
If you’re looking for other titles by the Nibbles author, Emma Yarlett, there are plenty of options! Beast Feast is all about a beast who makes an unexpected friend as he plans a dinner party for his beast friends. Dragon Post is about a boy who ends up with a pet dragon and looks to others for advice. Santa Post is about Santa and his helpers trying to figure out what one special little girl is asking for for Christmas. Each of these titles has letters that open up on the pages, making for added reading fun. It’s Mine and Poppy Pickle are more silly stories with some flaps and spots to peek through that are a bit simpler and geared toward ages 3-4 years and up.
