You can create categories for your blog posts to organize them on your site. There are also setting in the Blog Roll Block that allow you to only show blog posts that are assigned to certain categories. This is helpful if you want to have multiple pages that show a subset of your blog posts that are only in certain categories, or you could have a "featured" category and highlight a few of your favorite blog posts on your home page.
