From setting up your forms and email sequences to building pages that convert and testing everything before you go live, you’ll learn exactly how to prepare your systems for a smooth and successful launch.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Decide on Your Offer

  • Determine if you’re launching:
    • With a freebie to grow your list
    • Straight to a digital or physical product/service using your existing list

TIP: Name your offer clearly and define the key benefits for your audience.

NOTE: If using a digital offer you can upload pdf, epub or mobi files directly into your Oh My Hi Media library. 

Step 2: Set Up Your CRM Tags (CRM is recommended)

  • In the CRM, create tags for:
    • Freebie opt-ins
    • Offer buyers
  • Keep tagging simple—only tag based on the action they take.

Step 3: Create Your Forms

  • In Forms, create:
    • Freebie opt-in form (if applicable)

Offer purchase form (check out this tutorial: https://ohmyhi.com/doc/create-a-checkout-form-and-page/

  • Ensure each form is set up to integrate with your CRM to automatically apply the correct tag. (If applicable)

NOTE: Have the offer purchase form redirect to your thank-you page or upsell page. This is a great opportunity to share more of what you offer with an engaged contact. You can return to this step once your thank-you or upsell pages are created.

Step 4: Build Landing Pages

  • Create a landing page for your freebie and/or offer.
  • Include the form from Step 3.
  • Add a thank-you page that:
    • Confirms their action
    • Optionally gives next steps (download link, instructions, or upsell teaser)

Step 5: Set Up Email Sequences

  • Nurture Sequence (for freebie subscribers):
    • 2–3 short emails delivering value
    • Build trust and engagement
  • Pitch Sequence (for contacts who did not purchase via the upsell page):
    • 2–3 short emails highlighting your offer
    • Include clear call-to-action to buy

Step 6: Test Everything by Taking the Customer Journey – Sign up for all the things

  • Test forms to make sure tags are applied
  • Test landing pages and thank-you pages
  • Test email sequences to ensure links and automations work
  • Test your payment form, If you’re selling something, try buying it yourself first to make sure it works. You can use a coupon code to make it cheaper, like just $1, so you don’t have to pay full price. Also, make sure Stripe is set to Live mode (not Test mode) so real payments go through.

Step 7: Launch Promotion

  • Share your freebie or offer with your audience via:
    • Text
    • Email
    • Social media
    • Optional ads (if desired)

Optional Step 8: Post-Launch

  • Track results in your CRM for future launches
    • Send follow-up emails to:
    • Engage new subscribers
  • Upsell or promote future offers
