One of the most common questions we get is: “Can I send emails from my own domain, like [email protected]?”
The answer is yes! And we’ve made it super simple to get started. No fancy tech skills are required.
Here’s what you need to know:
✉️ You Can Send Emails from Your Domain
When you use Oh My Hi’s Plus or Premium plan, your website includes built-in email tools for sending:
- Newsletters
- Welcome sequences
- Automated emails to subscribers
- A free custom domain name
These emails are sent from your domain name (like [email protected]). This makes your emails look professional and helps them land in inboxes (not spam folders!).
We take care of all the behind-the-scenes email setup for you, including things like SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records (don’t worry, these are just tools that help email providers know your messages are safe and actually coming from you). This setup keeps your emails out of spam folders and makes sure you meet the latest rules from providers like Google and Yahoo, and you don’t have to lift a finger.
Note: By default your CRM is set up to send emails from
[email protected]. The first part of the email (hello@) can be changed if desired. Send us a message email and we can help!
📨 Where Do Replies Go?
When someone replies to your email (like a subscriber hitting “Reply” to your newsletter), their message will go to the email address you used when you signed up for Oh My Hi, like your personal Gmail or Yahoo address.
We make this happen by setting up a free email forward for you. An email forward just means that email sent to one address is automatically forwarded (or sent to) a different email address. As an example, let’s say your website domain is yourdomain.com and you signed up with Oh My Hi using an email address [email protected]. Emails sent from the CRM will be sent from [email protected]. If someone replies to one of your emails, they will send their reply to [email protected] and their reply will be automatically forwarded to [email protected]. You can then read and reply to the email using [email protected] inbox.
You can use the [email protected] email address in your branding, business cards, etc. The email forward we set up will work as long as you have an active Plus or Premium subscription.
❌ What’s Not Included
Just so there’s no confusion: We don’t include a full email inbox as part of your website (like Gmail or Outlook). That means:
- You can’t log in to check email at
[email protected]unless you set it up elsewhere (like with Google Workspace – affiliate link) - You can’t send general emails (outside the Oh My Hi CRM) using
[email protected]unless you connect it to another service

If you want to have a full and separate inbox for your [email protected] email, or be able to send emails using that address outside of Oh My Hi (like a normal inbox), we recommend using Google Workspace.

[email protected] - You can log in, send, and receive just like you would with Gmail, Yahoo, etc.
- Offers more control and business-level features
- Pretty affordable at $7/month (as of May 2025)
This is great if you want a full email system that matches your domain. It is also the email provider we use in our own business.

Which One Should I Use?
If you are just starting out, we usually recommend starting with how Oh My Hi works by default where our forwarding service will forward emails sent to [email protected] to the email address you signed up with.
If you get to a point where you want to start managing domain-based emails in a separate inbox or be able to send emails outside of Oh My Hi from [email protected] then you can go with Google Workspace then.
