Built-In On-Page SEO

Every time you create a new page or post, Oh My Hi automatically sets the meta tags that help search engines understand your content:

• Meta title = Your page or post title
• Meta description = Your page or post excerpt (or, if you skip that, the first 155 characters of your content truncated on the closest word boundary)
• Meta image = Your featured image

That’s the default — and for most pages, that’s all you need. But if you want to customize what appears in search results, you can now do that too. See the Optional: Customize SEO for Any Page or Post section below.

Oh My Hi also automatically sets up Open Graph (OG) tags like og:title, og:description, and og:image. These tags ensure your pages look great when shared on social platforms like Facebook, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn — helping you get more clicks and engagement from your posts.

Optional: Customize SEO for Any Page or Post

When you edit a page or post in Oh My Hi, you’ll find an SEO panel in the right sidebar (under the Page or Post tab). It’s optional — if you leave it blank, the automatic defaults above kick in. But if you want more control, you can set:

• SEO Title — What appears in the Google search result (up to 60 characters). Useful when your page title is short or casual and you want a more descriptive search snippet.
• SEO Description — The snippet of text under your title in search results (up to 160 characters). Great if your excerpt doesn’t read well as a meta description.
• Social Share Image — Overrides your featured image for social sharing cards on Facebook, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn.
• Hide this page from Google — A toggle that tells search engines not to index this page. Useful for private intake forms, onboarding pages, or anything you don’t want showing up in search. When you turn this on, the page is automatically removed from your sitemap too.

Free SSL Certificates Included

Every Oh My Hi website automatically gets a free SSL certificate that’s installed and renewed for you. SSL encrypts data between your visitors and your site, keeping information like login details and form submissions safe.

Plus, SSL helps boost your SEO rankings and builds trust by showing the secure padlock in visitors’ browsers. It’s one of those small things that makes a big difference, and we handle it all behind the scenes for you.

Always-Up-to-Date XML Sitemap

Your website includes an automatic XML sitemap — a behind-the-scenes file that tells Google and other search engines about the pages on your site. It’s kept up to date automatically and submitted in the right format.

Oh My Hi also keeps your sitemap consistent with your indexing settings. If you’ve marked a page as “hide from Google,” it’s automatically excluded from your sitemap — so search engines get the same signal from both places. Author archives and date archives are also excluded from the sitemap by default, since those pages rarely drive useful search traffic on personal or small-business sites.
