Introduction
Create a booking calendar with Google and embed it directly on your Oh My Hi page—no extra tools needed!
Step-by-Step Guide
✨ Step 1: Create Your Appointment Calendar in Google
- Open your Google Calendar and click Create.
- Select Appointment Schedule.
- Give it a name like Discovery Call with Lisa.
- Set the duration of your appointments (e.g., 15 minutes).
- Choose if the schedule repeats weekly or only on certain days.
- Pick your available time slots for each day of the week.
- Double-check your time zone settings so it works for everyone.
⏳ Step 2: Set Scheduling Rules
- Open the Scheduling Window section.
- Decide how far in advance people can book (e.g., 30 or 60 days).
- Set a minimum notice period, like 24 hours, so you’re never surprised.
- Block off any unavailable days (e.g., vacations or holidays).
⏱️ Step 3: Set Booking Preferences
- Add buffer time between calls (like 15 minutes).
- Limit how many bookings you’ll accept per day (e.g., 2 calls max).
- Disable the ability for guests to invite others to the call.
💻 Step 4: Finalize Meeting Details
- Choose Google Meet for virtual meetings (a link is created automatically).
- Add a helpful description (e.g., “A free 15-minute call to learn more about your website needs.”).
- Keep the booking form simple—ask for just first name, last name, and email.
- Skip payments (unless needed) and add email reminders before the call.
🔗 Step 5: Get Your Embed Code
- On the final screen, click Share.
- Choose Website Embed and copy the code for the Inline Booking Page.
🌐 Step 6: Embed It on Your Oh My Hi Site
- Go to your Oh My Hi booking page.
- Use List View (Document Overview) to find where you want to insert the calendar.
- Search for and add a Custom HTML block.
- Paste your Google embed code into the HTML block.
💡 Preview the page. If the calendar is too short or scrolls awkwardly, edit the height value in the code (in this case, we used
height="700"
).
🎉 That’s It!
Your booking calendar is now live and ready for visitors to schedule time with you. You’ll both receive confirmation emails once someone books a call.
🔜 What’s Next?
Test your form by booking a fake appointment, then check your calendar to see if it appears correctly. Adjust the settings if needed!
