How to Add a Google Booking Calendar to Your Oh My Hi Site

Introduction

Create a booking calendar with Google and embed it directly on your Oh My Hi page—no extra tools needed!

Step-by-Step Guide

✨ Step 1: Create Your Appointment Calendar in Google

  1. Open your Google Calendar and click Create.
  2. Select Appointment Schedule.
  3. Give it a name like Discovery Call with Lisa.
  4. Set the duration of your appointments (e.g., 15 minutes).
  5. Choose if the schedule repeats weekly or only on certain days.
  6. Pick your available time slots for each day of the week.
  7. Double-check your time zone settings so it works for everyone.

⏳ Step 2: Set Scheduling Rules

  1. Open the Scheduling Window section.
  2. Decide how far in advance people can book (e.g., 30 or 60 days).
  3. Set a minimum notice period, like 24 hours, so you’re never surprised.
  4. Block off any unavailable days (e.g., vacations or holidays).

⏱️ Step 3: Set Booking Preferences

  1. Add buffer time between calls (like 15 minutes).
  2. Limit how many bookings you’ll accept per day (e.g., 2 calls max).
  3. Disable the ability for guests to invite others to the call.

💻 Step 4: Finalize Meeting Details

  1. Choose Google Meet for virtual meetings (a link is created automatically).
  2. Add a helpful description (e.g., “A free 15-minute call to learn more about your website needs.”).
  3. Keep the booking form simple—ask for just first name, last name, and email.
  4. Skip payments (unless needed) and add email reminders before the call.

🔗 Step 5: Get Your Embed Code

  1. On the final screen, click Share.
  2. Choose Website Embed and copy the code for the Inline Booking Page.

🌐 Step 6: Embed It on Your Oh My Hi Site

  1. Go to your Oh My Hi booking page.
  2. Use List View (Document Overview) to find where you want to insert the calendar.
  3. Search for and add a Custom HTML block.
  4. Paste your Google embed code into the HTML block.

💡 Preview the page. If the calendar is too short or scrolls awkwardly, edit the height value in the code (in this case, we used height="700").

🎉 That’s It!

Your booking calendar is now live and ready for visitors to schedule time with you. You’ll both receive confirmation emails once someone books a call.

🔜 What’s Next?

Test your form by booking a fake appointment, then check your calendar to see if it appears correctly. Adjust the settings if needed!
