Introduction
Your Oh My Hi site comes with forms for things like contact requests, sign-ups and RSVPs. With OHMi connected, you can ask your AI to build a new form, change the questions on one you already have, and tell you who has filled it out, all in plain words. This guide covers what OHMi can do with your forms, some prompts to get you started, and the few things it leaves for you to do yourself.
📌 Before you start: OHMi needs to be connected to your AI tool. If it isn’t yet, follow How to Connect OHMi to Your Claude Account or How to Connect OHMi to Your ChatGPT Account first.
What OHMi Can Do With Your Forms
Build and Change Forms
- Create a new form from a short description, like “a contact form with name, email, phone and a message.”
- Add new questions, reword the ones you have, change their order, and mark them as required or optional.
- Set the choices on dropdown, checkbox and multiple-choice questions.
- Change the words on the submit button (for example, from “Submit” to “Send My Request”).
- Add a form to a page it’s building for you, so visitors can fill it out.
Read Your Form Entries
- List your forms and show how many entries each one has.
- Show you the entries on a form, or open a single entry and read every answer.
- Summarize recent entries, or tell you how many came in by day, week or month.
- Show payment totals if your forms take payments.
Keep Your Entries Organized
- Mark an entry as read, unread or spam.
- Move an entry to the trash. It isn’t gone for good, and OHMi can bring it back.
- Add a private note to an entry (the person who filled out the form never sees it).
Check Who Gets Notified
- List the emails a form sends when someone fills it out, including who receives them.
- Show what else happens when a form is submitted (for example, adding the person to your CRM).
Changes That Need Your Approval
Most form changes happen right away. Two kinds of changes wait for you, because they could cost you answers or emails you care about:
- Removing a question people have already answered. Removing a question nobody has answered yet happens right away.
- Adding or changing a form’s notification email, such as who receives it or what it says.
When OHMi asks for your approval, it gives you a link. Click it, and you’ll see a page in your dashboard that shows exactly what will change. Nothing happens until you click the approve button on that page. OHMi can’t approve these for you, so if you don’t click, nothing changes.
⚠️ If your AI says a change “needs approval,” it hasn’t happened yet. Click the link it gives you to review and approve it.
Example Prompts
Copy any of these into a new chat with Claude or ChatGPT, and change the details to fit your business.
Creating a Form
Create a contact form called “Book a Consultation” with name, email, phone, the service they’re interested in (a dropdown with Facials, Massage and Waxing), and a message box. Make name and email required.
Build me a new page for my upcoming workshop, and include an RSVP form at the bottom.
Changing a Form
On my Contact form, add a question asking how they heard about me, and move it right above the message box.
Change the submit button on my newsletter form to say “Yes, Send Me Tips!”
Make the phone number question on my Contact form optional.
Reading Your Entries
How many people filled out my Contact form this month? Summarize what they asked about.
Show me the last five entries on my Workshop RSVP form.
Which of my forms gets the most entries?
Organizing Your Entries
Mark the entries on my Contact form that look like spam as spam.
Add a note to the latest entry on my Contact form that says “Called back on Tuesday.”
Checking Notifications
Who gets an email when someone fills out my Contact form?
💡 If OHMi says it can’t see your forms, your AI may not know about these features yet. Follow “Refresh the Tool List” in Troubleshooting Your OHMi AI Connection, then start a new chat.
What OHMi Can’t Do
A few things are left for you to do in your dashboard, either to keep your site safe or because they need a closer look:
- Delete a form or an entry for good. OHMi can move an entry to the trash, but permanent deletes happen in your dashboard. Ask OHMi and it will tell you where to go.
- Edit the questions on multi-step forms or forms laid out in columns. OHMi can still read their entries, and it can change the button text on a form with columns.
- Change how a form looks, like its colors or spacing. Forms follow your site’s colors automatically.
- Add payment or file upload questions. These need settings OHMi can’t fill in, like prices and your payment connection, so set them up in your dashboard.
- Set up questions that show or hide based on earlier answers.
- Change what else happens on submit, like a connection to your CRM. OHMi can show you these, but not change them.
- Approve its own changes. Anything that needs your approval waits for you.
Wrap-Up
You now know what OHMi can do with your forms, how to ask for it, and which changes wait for your approval. Try one of the prompts above to see it in action.
