How Last Month’s Initiatives Worked Out
Partnership with Sarah Cannon
Our standout win for May was the successful collaboration with Sarah Cannon, a leading expert in author partnerships. Together, we developed and launched templates designed specifically for authors, enabling books and book series to be seamlessly added to the Oh My Hi platform. A big thanks to Jeremy for ensuring the integration was smooth and user-friendly.
On May 17th, Sarah and Becky hosted a live session tailored for Sarah’s Publish and Thrive alumni. This private YouTube Live offered a walkthrough of our new template site, a behind-the-scenes demo, and live Q&A focused on integrations and how Oh My Hi supports authors’ needs. The session also highlighted our Done For You Premium Program, bringing in several new premium clients. Following the event, Sarah shared a recap email with the replay link, which led to even more new users joining Oh My Hi through the end of May and into June.
Community Engagement
In addition to our author-focused efforts, we continued to strengthen affiliate relationships through our weekly Tuesday “trip tips” and our mid-May Oh My Hi Beach Happy Hour. These initiatives provided valuable updates, shared what’s new, and kept the excitement high among our affiliates.
Affiliate Promotion Tools
Throughout May, we encouraged affiliates to use three simple tools to promote Oh My Hi:
- Replay of the April Webinar – How to Build a Website That Works for You in Your Sleep.
- Short Demo Videos – Quick, engaging overviews of how Oh My Hi works.
- Free Download: Five Web Pages Every Small Business Needs – A helpful resource for small business owners.
These tools have been well-received, helping affiliates earn points towards the October retreat.
Additional Training
We provided focused training on tagging and segmentation, which received a lot of great feedback by our community. This initiative helped members better organize and target their audiences.
May Initiatives: Early Results and Strategic Rationale
Author Beta Program
Our partnership with Sarah Cannon is being treated as a beta round for our author-focused initiatives. Early results have been positive, with great feedback and success stories coming in from the author community. This foundation is setting the stage for a larger launch in the fall.
Ongoing Affiliate Support
The tools and strategies shared in May have continued to gain traction. Affiliates are finding it easier to share Oh My Hi with their audiences, and we’re seeing a steady increase in engagement and referrals.
What’s Next: June Plans and Forward Strategy
Pinterest Training
June’s dedicated workshop will focus on Pinterest, offering our community actionable strategies to leverage this platform for business growth. We’re excited to see how this new training supports our members’ marketing efforts.
Continued Live Support
Lisa Duck will continue providing weekly live support, ensuring our community has access to guidance and answers as they implement new strategies.
Preparing for Fall Author Launch
Looking ahead, we’re already planning for another round with Sarah Cannon in the fall. The May beta experience has provided invaluable insights, and we’re eager to build on this success.
