We’ve been busy creating new partnerships and growing our affiliates. The program, powered by Oh My Hi, our platform that helps small business owners, creators, and direct sellers across all industries build beautiful, easy-to-use websites, is growing month over month. If you’re here from Modern Direct Seller (hey, friends!), our sister company that partners with direct sales organizations on training and strategy, this update gives you a front-row seat to the real-time tactics we’re putting into action. Whether you’re leading a salesforce or exploring a referral program of your own, we’re here to share what’s working, what’s not, and where we’re headed next.
Here’s a look at what we’ve accomplished, what we’ve learned, and what’s next for our affiliate program.

How Last Month’s Initiatives Worked Out
Launching with Niche Partners: The Annie Frisbie Collaboration
In April, we officially launched a partnership with Annie Frisbie, a leader in the lactation consultant space. Annie’s community is highly engaged, and her endorsement provided instant credibility. We hosted a live Q&A and a walkthrough of her new Oh My Hi site, which drew 15–20 attendees and sparked lively discussion—especially around SEO and website migration.
Key Takeaway:
Personalized, interactive sessions foster trust and allow us to address real questions in real time. This approach is especially effective for audiences who are passionate about their work but may be less comfortable with technology.
Affiliate Toolkit Rollout
To support Annie and future partners, we created a collaboration toolkit:
- All-in-one link hub
- Social media assets
- Email templates for easy promotion
This made it simple for Annie to share Oh My Hi with her audience and for us to track engagement and results.
Community Engagement & Results
Following the launch, Annie announced the partnership to her broader audience in early May. We’re already seeing a steady trickle of new users from her community, validating the power of targeted, niche collaborations.
April Initiatives: Early Results and Strategic Rationale
Oh My Hi Workshop: “How to Build a Website That Works While You Sleep”
We hosted a workshop open to all affiliates and their networks, focusing on the “why” and “how” of building a business website. Nearly 300 people registered, with about 50 joining live—a strong turnout given the daytime slot.
Promotions & Incentives
- Free Month Offer: New users launching a site within 30 days will receive a month free.
- Free Domain for Plus & Premium Plans: We discovered that users with their own domain are more likely to stick with Oh My Hi, so we removed this barrier for new signups on our higher tier plans.
Results
- 15 new Oh My Hi users the day of the workshop, many referred by affiliates or partners
- Additional users trickling in from emails sent after the workshop
- Increased affiliate engagement and excitement around sharing the workshop replay
Lessons Learned
- Education is Key: Direct sellers often need help understanding the value of a website. We spent significant time on the “why” before diving into the “how.”
- Boutique Support as a Differentiator: Our hands-on approach—weekly Zooms, responsive email support—sets us apart from generic website platforms like Wix or Squarespace.
- Removing Barriers: Including a free domain helps new users get started and stay invested.
What’s Next: May Plans and Forward Strategy
New Partnerships & Templates
We’re preparing for a partnership launch with Sarra Cannon, who leads a vibrant community of authors. We’re also rolling out a new author-specific template, making it easy for users to showcase their books and series.
Evergreen Workshop & Paid Traffic
To maximize the impact of our successful workshop, we’re turning it into an evergreen resource. By running Facebook ads and driving paid traffic to the replay, we aim to generate ongoing leads and empower affiliates with a proven tool for conversion.
Expanding Affiliate Tools
Affiliates now have three core resources to share:
- Download: Five Web Pages Every Small Business Needs
- Oh My Hi Demo
- Free Workshop: How to Build a Website That Works While You Sleep
These tools are designed to help affiliates educate, engage, and convert their audiences—whether or not there’s a live promotion running.
Why This Matters
At Oh My Hi, we’re committed to leading the way by testing new strategies, learning from our experiences, and sharing our insights. Our goal is to create a program that not only drives results but also fosters a sense of community and purpose among affiliates.
