May was a good one over here at Oh My Hi — we hosted some of our favorite events of the year, shipped a feature that’s been on the wishlist for a while, and watched a lot of lightbulbs go off in our community.
Here’s a quick look at what went down 👇
💵 Masterclass: How to Monetize Your Oh My Hi Website

This month, Becky led one of her most-requested workshops yet — all about turning your website from a place you send people to into a place that actually makes you money.
Big Takeaway: There are really two ways your site can generate revenue — sales that happen right on your site (through forms + Stripe) and sales that happen because of your site (links, emails, referrals, credibility). Most people are only thinking about one of them.
Here’s a glimpse at what we covered:
- Selling digital products, paid event tickets, and personal consultations directly through your site
- Taking product orders and service bookings without a separate tool
- Using emails and blog posts to drive sales off-platform
- Building “loops” into your site — navigation, blog post CTAs, email signatures — so people keep bumping into what you offer
One of the most honest moments? Becky challenged everyone to start tracking. Even something simple — “I sent an email Tuesday and got five orders” — helps you see what’s actually working.
💡 Oh My Hi Insider: Hero Images
Sami and Lisa walked through one of the most important (and most overlooked) parts of your website: your hero section — that very first thing people see before they ever scroll.
Big Takeaway: Your hero isn’t just decoration. It’s doing a job. And that job is to make the right people say “I’m in the right place” — and let the wrong ones move on.
A few things that landed:
- Make it about them, not you. The hero that converts answers “what’s in it for me?” not just “here’s what I do.”
- Clear beats clever. Simple, jargon-free buttons (“fitness and habits” vs. a company acronym no one outside the brand recognizes) are what actually get clicked.
- Your call to action should match your goal. If your business runs on your email list, your hero should be pointing people there — not to a sale.
- Start with a pattern. Lisa showed how OMH’s pattern library gives you a fully optimized starting point so you’re not building from a blinking cursor.
