April was a full month over here at Oh My Hi.
We hosted a masterclass on storytelling and copy, went deep on one of the most underused features on your website, dropped a brand new tutorial on email marketing, and got to highlight some really great examples of what it looks like when a website starts doing the heavy lifting in your business.
Here’s a look at everything that went down 👇
✍️ Masterclass: Storytelling that Sells with Michelle Knight
On April 16th, Michelle Knight walked us through how to take your real story, your voice, and your actual customer moments—and turn them into website copy that connects and converts.
The big takeaway? People don’t buy from websites. They buy from people. And when your copy sounds like you, everything else gets easier.

🧠 Oh My Hi Insider: The Power of Announcement Bars
Lisa and Sami covered one of the most underused spots on your website: the announcement bar—that little strip that sits right above your navigation.
Most people skip it entirely. Or they fill it with something too vague to do anything.
Here’s the thing: it’s prime real estate. And it takes about five minutes to set up. Whether you’re promoting a lead magnet, a new offer, an upcoming event, or just trying to grow your list—your announcement bar should be doing some of that work for you.
The replay breaks down what to say, what to avoid, and how to make it actually work.

⚙️ Platform Updates
We shipped two updates in April—better spam protection, some handy new building blocks, smarter email and CRM tools, and a few quality-of-life improvements that’ll make your day-to-day a little smoother.
Everything rolled out automatically. Nothing you need to do.
✨ User Spotlights
We love seeing what Oh My Hi users are building. Here are three sites that caught our eye in April.
Julie — Pampered Chef Consultant
Julie’s capture and convert page leads with exactly who she is and what she’s about—then pulls visitors in with embedded YouTube videos so they can actually see her in the kitchen. It’s warm, it’s specific, and it makes you want to stick around. Her personality comes through from the very first scroll.
Marcia — Jewelry & Skincare Guru
Marcia built a clean RSVP page for her Sip, Sparkle & Glow events—upcoming dates, a simple form, one clear next step. No back-and-forth, no confusion. Just: here are the events, pick your date, save your seat
Ashley — Vacation Designer
Ashley’s Disney vacation planning site is clear from the very first second: “Your Stress-Free Disney Trip Starts Here.” Visitors can get a quote, grab a free resource, or browse by destination—without ever having to ask what she does. And her announcement bar at the top? She’s using it exactly the way Lisa and Sami described. 👏
What all three have in common: their sites aren’t just sitting there. They’re actively helping people take the next step.
